core_answer: Sydney Sixers have no proven senior wicketkeeping cover behind unconverted 22-year-old Alice Capsey, after Alyssa Healy's retirement and Maddy Darke's injury left a 21-year-old local replacement player as sole fallback for WBBL|12.
key_facts: Alice Capsey, 22, had zero senior wicketkeeping experience before 2025 but was named England's T20 World Cup backup keeper.; Capsey's only senior audition came against Ireland in September, when incumbent keeper Amy Jones was rested, not dropped.; Maddy Darke, the Sixers' second keeping option, is injured, leaving Grace Lyons, 21, a local replacement player, as the only cover.; Capsey has kept in roughly three matches total and has not yet made a leg-side take standing up to the stumps.; The Sixers are 2-0 in WBBL|12, but one win came on the final ball, a high-variance result on a two-match sample.
